Freeways in Iran

History of Freeways in Iran goes back to 35 years ago. The first freeway in Iran was built before Revolution, between Tehran and Karaj and the construction of Tehran-Qom Freeway started and the studies of many freeways today started before Revolution.
Today Iran has about 1600 km of freeway.
